We are home and she is doing great! She peed on her pad, ate and drank! I may have fed her from my hand a little. She already figured out how to get through the gate and is exploring the whole house! She slept the whole trip and now definitely is following me and wants cuddles! She is the sweetest little dog! I sit on the floor and she climbs up on my lap! I feel so much happier already! Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart!
I’m obsessed with her! She is the sweetest! When I was getting ready this morning she waited outside my door. She has been doing well potty training every 2 hours too! She is so calm!
Melody was extremely patient and kind while I made the decision to adopt a puppy as I was grieving the recent loss of my fur baby. She made the transition to her new home so easy, providing holistic treatments as well as a detailed manual for care instruction. My puppy is very healthy and thriving as well as very social due to Melody's knowledge and breeding approach. My Vet acknowledged that she looks very well bred! I would highly recommend this business for adoption of healthy and happy dogs!
Summer has been busy between working and raising the best pup ever! I love her so much!!! And she is so good! She is such as sweet, sweet dog! She is potty trained for the most part - I can't remember the last time she had an accident, so she is now allowed to roam the house. She is so easy! She loves to play fetch and does not like to walk for long outside (maybe the heat). She is a bit mischievous, but I like that she has so much personality. She will steal my socks and run with them! She greats me every day when I get home so excitedly. She has truly brought me so much joy again! I will forever be grateful to you.
She always sits with me when I get home from work and eat. She will sometimes sit on her own chair and sometimes on my lap. I got up to clean up and she was sitting on the chair staring at me, and Mike and I were laughing so much because she looked so silly with just her eyes showing. Then she hopped up on the table to come across and be with me. We are very snuggly when I get home from work and Mike says she cries for 3 minutes when I leave after the weekend.
Katie tolerates clothes no problem - she has a hoodie now that it is chilly! She is just about 5 lbs 8 ounces now! Still a little girl! She is obsessed with her Kong and peanut butter that we normally give her if we leave to do something. She is so funny and happy! When you walk her and she walks by anyone, she immediately gets excited and usually rolls over if they pet her. She is well known in the neighborhood. She still does not like to go for more than a 1/4 mile walk and will immediately turn around and head home. We got the farthest today. I just kept saying good job walking Katie and would give her a treat. The walking is funny to me because when Maya was a pup, I would walk her 3 miles nightly and then she would be tired out. Katie prefers to exercise indoors and will play fetch a lot. She drops her toy at your feet when she would like to play! So, we are teaching each other as we go for sure!
Katie is the best dog and did so good with all of the craziness of the holidays!
Katara was just weighed at the vet at 6.8 lbs last Monday. She had a checkup and the vet said she looks really good and healthy! I have been planning a birthday celebration and found an all natural dog cake online and it came Friday! So much fun!
Katara was the first-born of her litter, and the only female! She was very large for a newborn Havamalt, and began happily nursing very quickly. She has leveled out to a normal size for her age as she has grown. Named after the character Katara from the show "Avatar: The Next Air-Bender", she is a beautiful Havanese-Maltese puppy. She has some light tan markings on her face and ears, but because Havanese can change colors many time before they are full grown, we cannot guarantee her colors will stay the same into adulthood. Our best guess is she will be White & Tan as an adult. As Katara has grown, it has become evident that she favors the Maltese side of her genetics. In size, appearance, and behavior, Katara is more like a Maltese puppy than a Havanese puppy. She is tiny, has the facial features of a Maltese, loves to be with people, and loves being doted on and babied! She prefers to be hand-fed, but she will eat on her own when she has to! She has a Bold-Confident personality and is very adventuresome and does not seem to be afraid of anything. As such, she can be quite stubborn when she wants her way. Even though she is the smallest puppy of this litter, she was the first to figure out how to climb out of the puppy pen and even showed her biggest brother how to do it too! She is quite the character and will bring so much joy and laughter to her new family, whomever they may be! Because Katara can be quite stubborn and definitely has a mind of her own, she would be best suited to a family or individual that has at least a little experience with owning a dog. She is very trainable and affectionate and both the Havanese and Maltese breed are considered easier breeds for beginner dog owners, so Katara should be a wonderful addition to your family.
