Twizzler was the fifth puppy born in this litter. His weight was on the smaller size of normal for a newborn Havamalt puppy! He was so eager to nurse from his mama that he attached and started nursing before his hips and back legs were born! We've never seen a puppy do that before. So technically, he was nursing happily before he was even fully born. He has been gaining weight steadily since birth, and is currently thriving! At birth, Twizzler was a solid white puppy. He may stay solid white or he may develop some light cream markings. With his Mama being a Havanese, we really can only make an educated guess at this point. After all, Havamalts are like a box of chocolates! You never know what you are gonna get!
